I have no time, and I must create | he/him | Gamer PhD

Are there any #gamedev projects that you're proud of the writing or ending of? I just replayed the ending to Stacksquatch for the first time in yeeeaars and oh wow I forgot how good it was <_<

I might finally have a Stacksquatch demo ready. I just have to play it through 100 times with my 0-30 minutes a night to spare. I guess I'll have a final demo build in...2028?

okay I'm working on psycho coin rush but hear me out: my kid wants me to make a game of his design that's animal crossing + minecraft + car simulator and it takes priority

I was told you couldn't do 3D on the Playdate, so I did it. Then I was told there was no way I could create exterior levels like those in Mirror's Edge, so I proved them wrong again.

Did you know that it's really easy to make a script to scrape #Steam data and estimate revenue? And that actual existing paid services just do this and dump it into a searchable DB? Hmm. Interesting.

I will be, from this point forward, known at "THE GUARDIAN OF STEAM STOREFRONT," but as such, and as a matter of FAIRNESS, will be reimbursed, at the rate of 40% on all games shipped

I've seen memes twice this week about how AI can't make art because you have to suffer to make art. AI art is bullshit but so is the idea that art requires suffering. Make art. Big things, small things. Tell the world or your friends or no one. You don't need to hurt to do great art.

I've finally finished all my #gamedev design, systems code, and networking servers. Now it's time to start all the content and art! [uploads game to Steam early access and abandons it]

I stumbled across a section way down on my todo.txt that it turns out that I did? A while ago? That I didn't strictly need to do yet? And that answered why my small update is taking forever and blowing up. Fuck scope creep.

A goofy clip art ass lookin image of a scope creep monster harassing a woman in the workplace I hope someone is reporting this to HR

The two hardest problems in Computer Science are 1. Human communication 2. Getting people in tech to believe that human communication is important
