@teachertapp.bsky.social do you have any data for the percentage of schools with a two week timetable?

Another great day #REd26 today. My sessions seemed to mostly be about effective professional learning and were most informative. But I also loved the session on transition and belonging.
I have answered more Teacher Tapp questions than Clare Badger and Ellie Russell. I feel like a legend. 😊
The research Ed programme had dropped into my inbox!! Cannot wait for the weekend. Although really it’s too much. How do I even go about deciding?
@anthonyryan.bsky.social just finished ‘upon the forge of battle’. Naughty epilogue! Can’t wait for the next trilogy in that world 😂
Public service post below. Did my six week switch on this week already.
Jo DHT@meredithfox22.bsky.social · last mo.If you are returning to school next week and need your laptop for anything on the first day, it might be a good idea to turn ot on now (and walk away) whilst it does an unreasonable amount of updates. This is guaranteed to reduce stress levels on the first day back!!!
Rosenshine's Principles of Instruction are well known, but what about the tenth principle? It focuses on helping students practise independently, and our blog looks at why this final step matters. https://www.innerdrive.co.uk/blog/rosenshines-tenth-principle-of-instruction/
Secondary school teachers! This could help make tutor time easier and better for you;
Bill Wilkinson@drwilkinsonsci.bsky.social · 2mo agoWho wants some exciting news? @chrisbaker108.bsky.social and I are taking Tutor Group Think to a Mailing List. If you like the daily slides but forget that they're there, or need a daily reminder, or an easy way to share with your pastoral leads, then this is the answer. buttondown.com/TGT
Had just enough time to plant these drought-resistant beauties before staring at the eclipse and tonight's meteor shower. See you all in the morning.
If you get a chance to go to the ‘music is black’ exhibition at the V&A East in Stratford then go. Brilliant experience

The @teachertapp.bsky.social competition to win a voucher for a clothes shop (Riess or Hobbs please) is the one I REALLY want to win. 🤞🤞
Such an interesting book. And “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” —John Quincy Adams Do we want this for our students to inspire in others?
The ecology of reading (via @teachertapp) < great choice today @teachertapp.bsky.social thanks
‘Who can speak Ancient Greek?’ ‘Physicists’ #onlyconnect Classic!
www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba... Someone wrote a blog post about decisions in schools a long time ago and checking them with a few people before you go public. Infantino would have benefitted from that I think! Ego is what ego does I suppose?
Fifa World Cup plans: Gianni Infantino scraps private investment proposal after widespread opposition

The views from Schiehallion were brilliant. Sad to be leaving Perthshire tomorrow.
If you haven’t found ‘the Brokenwood Mysteries’ yet, then look for them on the channel 4 player. Brilliant, New Zealand comedy whodunit. I can’t decide if Gina or Frodo is my favourite.
Loving ‘KS3 the ambitious years’ by @marymyatt.bsky.social I am having to read it slowly to take it all in. It’s a real call to arms, and is inspiring me to try and get this right.
Been to see the Odyssey today and have a stroll around Weston.
Sad to hear the news about the death of Kevin Keegan. Newcastle manager in my youth, and gave enjoyment to a lot of Geordies when in that role.
Does this need to take so long? The world wants to go to bed.
