So while I love my CGM system, it had the side effect of making me more addicted to my phone than I liked. I'm not a power user by any means, but I really disliked how I was getting sucked into distractions regularly. So I got a new phone...and left the CGM on my old one.

Sometimes I just sit around stewing about how ride or die so many Minnesotans have been, how they showed up through sacrifice big and small. They made the bad guys push through them at every step. Gave up nothing for free. And the best governor we’re being offered is Klob. It’s embarrassing.

So I worked in two male-dominated STEM fields. While there is a certain amount of trying to go with the flow that you do as a woman, there is no way I would consider doing anything that's been reported on and consider that "mutual communication." Do we have a countdown to resignation prepared?

Excerpt from the article reads:

But on Thursday afternoon, as more details began to trickle out about the nature of Her’s comments to staff, she released a statement saying the police force had welcomed her into their circle and was now manipulating that trust.

“The way this is being portrayed in the media does not reflect what I understood to be mutual communication,” Her said in response to questions from the Minnesota Star Tribune. “I am disappointed that I was invited and brought into their space and culture and now this is the outcome. As I stated yesterday, I respect the investigative process and believe it is important to allow it to reach its conclusion.”

Aaaaaaaaaand there's a new statement and NEW DETAILS. I'll drop a link and then screen shot some highlights. www.startribune.com/st-paul-mayo...

I enjoyed The Odyssey, even though there were parts where my love of Greek Mythology was internally saying "WTF?" (The loss of "No Man/No One" was particularly notable.) So I actually really enjoyed this review and criticism. For me, it's like when I look at any movie with dinosaurs...

look, this is phenomenally beside the point, but having read this paragraph I do now want Emily Wilson to review THE SHEEP DETECTIVES (2026) (via: www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...)

Nolan’s grunting one-eyed giant is referred to as ‘it’, barely speaks, doesn’t get drunk and has neither neighbours nor a favourite sheep.

A few years ago, I had my MMR titers pulled - I'm part of that GenX cohort that was pre-MMR. My Rubeola was fine, Rubella was declining, and Mumps non-existent. I finally finished my MMR sequence a few months ago and couldn't be more relieved about that. I will take all the protection I can get.

🧵The US no longer meets criteria for measles elimination. Utah's outbreak has lasted for more than a yr. And cases this yr are at a 35-yr high. I talked w/pediatricians treating measles & talking w/parents who don't vaccinate. My latest @wired.com @kffhealthnews.org www.wired.com/story/the-ch...

I decided to not use my new phone as my CGM reader, leaving it on my old phone. (It messes w/many wireless functions & sucks power). I manually added all the apps I use to my new phone to avoid messing up the setup. And clearly I'm not a power user because there weren't too many to download.
