Huisken lab is at #EED2026! @metteh-thorsager.bsky.social & @bekeloh.bsky.social will show how we use #Flamingo #light-sheet microscopy to address biological questions in the annelid #Platynereis, with imaging of the developing nervous system as an example (Platy Satellite Meeting & Poster P146).
Always a pleasure to discuss annelid biology and live imaging of annelid development with Martin-Duran and Dumollard labs. @qmul.bsky.social @biodev-vlfr.bsky.social #LSFM #lightsheet #Flamingo #Platynereis #Owenia

PhD opportunity in Huisken lab with Zgierski-Johnston lab @uniklinik-fr.bsky.social. Topic: Multiscale Structural Imaging of Cardiac Conduction: Linking Interstitial Remodeling to Arrhythmia at Sub-Cellular Resolution. Deadline 7 June 2026. #LSFM #lightsheet #bioimaging #engineering #biophysics
Happy to share our contribution to this new work led by @michalis-averof.bsky.social! @bekeloh.bsky.social and @metteh-thorsager.bsky.social tested membrane tags in the annelid Platynereis dumerilii — many reached the cell membrane, and several also label the developing nervous system in the larvae.
Finding molecular tags that localise fluorescent proteins to the cell membrane was the goal of our latest paper, now published in Development @dev-journal.bsky.social. The tags act as address labels, sending proteins to the cell membrane, where they highlight the shape and arrangement of cells. 2/9
