One thing that’s wild to remember is that 34 years ago during the 1992 election year, serious ethical and sexual misconduct claims were levied against Bill Clinton and people like James Carville actively worked the refs to make the stories go away.

It's awfully convenient now that nearly 2 decades later after losing *twice* to the consensus stupidest human alive, the establishment Dems *continue* to run this kind of offense against anyone with the temerity to nudge them slightly Leftward. Two Decades!

All the shit that people are saying about AES was said about Barack Obama the second he clinched the 2008 Democratic Nomination. There was talk of a brokered convention to get Hilary back in. There were people who said they would never vote for him because of how "nasty" his supporters were to HRC.

Based on the absolutely psychotic (I'm mentally ill, I can say that) Al Franken stans that I charged up by saying Platner should drop out, there's a non-0 amount of Centrist Dems who look at Max Miller and say "If they're allowed to have a violent criminal shithead, why aren't we?" That's it.

Story that keeps happening 1. Scandal breaks out involving someone with obvious bad vibes 2. Colleagues and admirers circle the wagons 3. Another revelation 4. Doubling down intensifies for some reason 5. Damning no-way-back career-wrecking revelation 6. “But how could we have known?”

Actually curious how the experience of Big Walk is for deaf people because the game actually does have local text chat which I didn’t think to use until I thought of that specific use case.

I just want to make absolutely clear that I have been posting about Ken Jennings, quote tweeting his posts, and replying to him about this and he has *not* yet blocked me. Seems like there’s a pattern of who he‘s blocking, but I can’t quite put my finger on it…

wow, i was not expecting to be blocked by @kenjennings.bsky.social over this. We’ve previously interacted in friendly ways, so i reached out in good faith & not trying to drag him. I was giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe his transphobic behavior was unintended. really disappointing.
