Players of the beta for upcoming Hoyo title Petit Planet have noticed there’s an AI chatbot featured and at least one barista NPC whose dialogue is generated by AI Fans of their titles are defending it saying “this is a good use of AI” and “you can’t stop AI at this point.” This is from the TOS:

From the Petit Planet terms of service.: 6. Al Limitations a. Certain in-game features ("Features") of COGNOSPHERE Services, such as a chatbot, make use of artificial intelligence ("Al") technology and is solely for your personal entertainment and non-commercial purposes only. b. When you interact with a Feature by submitting input ("Input"), the Feature may generate output based on your Input ("Output" ). You bear full and sole responsibility for ensuring your Input complies with all applicable laws and this Agreement. c. Outputs generated by a Feature may include content that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate, and do not represent the views, advice, intentions or positions of COGNOSPHERE. COGNOSPHERE does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any output generated by this Feature. d. You agree not to rely on any output from any Feature as fact, or as advice, and not to use it in situations where accuracy, reliability, or context is critical. This includes, without limitation, use in legal, medical, financial, psychological, educational, housing, employment, credit, insurance-related matters, or in any other context where decisions may carry legal, regulatory, personal, or material consequences for you or others.e. Anyway here's Mihoyo promoting AI assisted game production including: "Efficiency in Image and Material Generation With very few materials, they can generate character model sheets + 3D models, allowing for the testing of multiple designs and their artistic outcomes." Something to keep an eye on.
