Being a part of recent fandoms has reinforced a lot of my dislike for theory culture. Theories on their own are fine - it’s natural and fun to have them! But when people get too attached to their preconceptions over the story actually being told, attitudes get SUPER toxic.

All those times over the years I talked about how important owning your media physically is, and time and time again I'd get the "You DO own digital though" or "we gotta just accept it" I don't have to accept shit. I prioritize physical ownership or DRM Free EVERY time. This is why.

I kind of feel like... based on the remakes of Link's Awakening, Thousand Year Door (technically a remaster), and Star Fox; Ocarina of Time remake might just be... the exact same game in a new engine? Maybe with more story? It'll be interesting to see. The new designs so far do have me excited tho.

It always sucks to find a piece of your nostalgia attached to something vile. I played the original games and watched the cartoons as a kid. I hated earthworm jim 64 though. Abysmal gameplay. I wish the creators of fun stuff would stop being sucky human beings.
