bullet spewing imouto (it/its) mechanics machine chronic score setter ♿️

Added more to this cretin. I imagine them as someone that had their head reattached to this weaponised biomechanical body. The body pumps their brain full of endorphins that alter their personality and make them much more dog-like. = w=

one thing i haven't seen in the arcade game discourse that's been going around: i feel like there's a stigma against "rote memorization" that deserves pushing back against just a little bit. i think a lot of people have the idea that once you have a game "memorized" the challenge is essentially over

A random internet chud spoke about arcade games positively 20 years ago and turned out to be a crazy racist. This internet beef is so important & formative that I will now shape my whole view of games as a reaction to this individual

im evil i think all arcade game ports & anything that plays like an arcade game shld harshly limit the amount of credits u can use to 1 credit BUT still let u practice specific stages

It’s amazing, on multiple levels, just how much american arcade operators, and more broadly, developers, rushed to turn their playerbases into pure cattle; they went so far as to construct a reality and industry in which being treated like cattle is an ideal for players to seek out in art software.

It's a lesson on how much these systems can shape player perception, not just of an individual game but of entire genres and eras of gaming. In the case of beat 'em ups, the continue system literally flattened them to the point where most people can only distinguish the themes.
