I found it pretty ironic that a Canadian YouTuber recreated a flock camera that surveilled police instead of gave police information. A couple days later he ended up getting some police at his front door questioning what the cameras were surveilling and concerns about their privacy.

I've been deep diving the 'web revival' and I have been having an absolute blast. I am currently working on my own but the flashy old web takes time. I am currently down to these socials: ⟢ Odysee ⟢ Bluesky ⟢ Mastodon ⟢ Pixelfed The floss/indie challenge has been amazing. A great reset.

Larry Silverstein, previous owner of the World Trade Centers, acquires the US Bank Tower in LA shortly before Donald makes his "small price to pay" shrek speech.

Fluxer was the peak move for switching away from discord. I am bridged to my community in there but I am free away from Tencant & their proprietary nonsense. I also enjoy I can quote posts from here in image form using a bot as well so I can share with the boys. I have been enjoying Bluesky.

The smallest bat in North America is the canyon bat (Parastrellus hesperus), also called the western pipistrelle or American parastrelle. They weigh about 3–6 grams, the weight of a US penny, sheet of paper, or teaspoon of sugar. In flight, they're sometimes confused for moths or butterflies.

A tiny smoke-grey furry bat with darker face, ears and wings. The big story is the tiny size. The entire bat fits on a portion of a human's thumb, a tee-weeny tiny little guy.

This is a viral photo that's circulated for years, but I found it on r/BatFacts posted by u/Pardusco.

While the world is stuck on left vs right. I am shocked by how much of history just doesnt add up if you dig for it. It seems majority of it was picked through and audited heavily in the 1900s but once you get into the 1800s. You start to see Cathedrals size buildings claimed to be built in 1 year.

This week has been interesting. I have stepped into the world of Free and Open source software only. I have been scrolling on Loops and Odysee for videos, Mastodon/Pixelfed/Bluesky for social media, CoMaps as my GPS, 2011scape/Veloren/OpenMW for my gaming. And Audius and Odysee for music.

The easiest switch to social media ever. It feel like Twitter/Mastodon but also has never ending cat photos in the feed. I live through each and everyone of you. I have three kids and one on the way and just don't have the time for a cat on top of all of that. So please keep posting your cats. 🐈

Hey Bluesky! My name is Dylan. I've been on Mastodon for quite a while now, but I'm exploring other social media options to connect with more people who share my interests, while also having a platform that respects my privacy.
