There's been a real failure on the part of progressive leaders this summer to link the weather and Net Zero in the public mind. Most people get it, but the consensus is crumbling and it would be useful to reinforce it.

Fascist Russia knows Ukraine now lacks the ability to intercept ballistic missiles, as its allies failed to provide them from their own stocks, never scaled up production. Kyiv now pretty much defenseless- I didn’t hear anything that sounded like an interception in this latest attack.

I have spent the last 3 days binge-reading Emily Wilson's Odyssey. After two decades with my mind occupied by the Indian epics, I have a lot of reactions (including, damn, the Odyssey is short). I'm enamored with the translation though.
