And yet somehow it's opened the floodgates of ableism as soon as autism was associated with him. And now we actual autistic people are left with holding the bill. A lot of people showed their asses today.

Every day that they are late, there’s an excuse. You catch their excuse as a lie one day. Do you report your coworker to your boss or myob?

He was in fact wrong, and the impact needs to be addressed and mitigated. This community also needs to stop being so relentlessly, vilely ableist. All can be true at the same time.

He was wrong, autistic or not. There's no danger in setting a precedent on calling something what it was.
They're comfortable with autism level 1 because it's the level at which normies can still identify with and relate to it. Calling us the "smart autistics" like it's an award. Level 2 and 3 don't fit the narrative cause it would force them to confront a disability that is arguably a clear disability.

That was my point
And that brings me back to the endless mental illness comorbidities that increase impulsivity, rigid insistence, and missing social cues, beyond what autism already causes. We're going to keep doing this circle: a normie explaining autism to an autistic person who has autistic children.

Plenty of autistic behavior is perceived as annoying or harassing by others, whether or not that's the intent. Two things can be true at once. The impact needs to be mitgated, and autism needs to be recognized as a disability beyond level 1 everyone likes to corral around. There's level 2 and 3 too.

And if it were, are we to excuse the behavior just because it has an identifiable root cause?) I'm explaining for awareness that autism is not a mental illness and shouldn't be labeled as one.
Autism is not a mental illness but it usually comes with comorbidities.
