The media's takeaway from an El-Sayed win is the same as it would have been from a Stevens win, and the same as it will be if El-Sayed wins the general, or if he loses it: everyone, no matter who they are, needs to take several steps to the right.

The way that everyone sees fantom AI in original work now is such a fucked up secondary downstream AI nightmare consequence. People can’t critically identify real art any longer and so everything gets accused of not being original. I don’t know how we climb out of this hole.

Reading a book that’s been loudly accused of being authored by AI, and I don’t believe that it is, mostly because this book is bad in a specific way that I think genAI is really unlikely to create.

It's a sign of how well-rested and ready for school to start I am that I agree with this in principle but in reality those "priorities and dreams for the future" don't involve any form of education a whole lot of the time.
