Who, Trek, Bond, Transformers and Kamen Rider nerd. Has spent a decade writing about Transformers comics, with my current big project being @revisitation.bsky.social, looking at each IDW issue in order: https://thesolarpool.weebly.com/revisitation.html

Spider-Man Brand New Day would've been greatly improved if instead of teaming with the BUMISHER, if Peter teamed up with his regular and much more notable friend, Kamen Rider V3

Stumbled this really cool interview from before Zeztz started with Rina Onuki, and then, the show really dropped the ball on someone not only this cool, but who's spent years trying to get to be main cast in a Rider. They'd earned more to do! en.mantan-web.jp/e_article/20...

Revenge after being rejected by "Geets"! Rina Onuki also talks about the existence of a "senior rider" who she feels "looks like" - MANTANWEB(まんたんウェブ)

Blazer time! I said yesterday Konomi Naito is insanely multi-skilled, and it is kind of a shame the show didn't do anything with her karate training (she's basically all muscle) outside of this training exercise. Though it impressed Emi!

As SKARD do a training exercise, and Emi looking in awe at a just thrown a man to the ground Anri, saying "So powerful..."A smiling Anri replies "This stuff is my forte."

Back into reading that massive Taschan reprint of the early Avengers I got ages ago, and am losing it at "I am sad to say that Tony Stark has died, and Iron Man has vanished at exactly the same time." "Well obviously the connection there is Iron Man has buggered off."

A panel from issue 11 of the Avengers where Thor, Giant Man, Wasp and Captain America are sat around a conference table.

Thor is explainig that not only has Tony Stark died, but Iron Man has vanished.
Giant Man replies that obviously, as Stark's bodyguard and friend, Iron Man is out avenging his death. Everyone agrees this is the obvious explanation.

Last Transformer of TFN! I'll never really understand the fan hatred of the Bay designs. Over a decade there are misses, but overall, not only do they actually work fine, ones like this are gorgeous.

#TrekADay It's another in this run of very boring episodes ("We're all being raped in our dreams the same day a bunch of telepaths who probe memories came aboard... let's spend 44 minutes working this out) only enlivened by Crusher's nightmare being hairy Picard.

A flashback of Crusher and Picard walking down a corridor. Crusher is in civilian clothes, Picard in a season 1 uniform and has hair.

Thinking on it, if there's a sign TFN does need some younger and more diverse blood behind the scenes (and the team were saying this on the last panel, they agree!), it's the script reading assuming Furmanisms would get a laugh two years after the indifferent reaction to him announcing a podcast.

This is delightfully stupid. I think if they'd just done Dinoforce in Monster Pretender colours most people would have accepted that, instead we get these gloriously ridiculous reworkings and God bless the hardcore Rhythms of Darkness enjoyer who made this happen.

The new Monster Pretender toys in their ridiculous robot modes. The new Monster Pretender toys in their ridiculous (and occasionally barely) monster forms. The ridiculous new Monstructor toy.
