ASsessment psychology often measures people through the lens of institutions rather than the lens of human flourishing. Historically, our constructs developed alongside industry, the military, and organizations asking: Who is productive? Who conforms? Who is "well adjusted"?

The National Academy of Sciences has been trying to plot a course of appeasement. To not run afoul of this madman. Appeasement never works. It has never worked with bullies. The entirety of academia and the scientific community needs to stand together and fight against this monster.

But a lot folks aren't trained in time series methods, and they don't know about or understand ergodicity, and their mentors and field-specific experts talk about "mechanism" and write big grant with big samples looking for "mechanisms." And they find between effects and call them "mechanisms."
Sigh.Im so tired of winning boss. Just wait. The money is gonna go to some MAHA anti vax / other weird toilet licking kinda conspiracy. Not real science.

Sigh. Junk in, junk out. Im a huge lca fan and increasing use of probabilistic priors to set prediction space makes sense. But only if its more than one type of validity evidence, across distinct constructs (not just pathology than elevates together). Latent clusters can help but..

If you're a Claude user and you haven't tried Fable yet, you MUST throw your most intractable problem at it before the trial period ends tomorrow. Fable took a set-building function I wrote and reduced its runtime dramatically—from 52 hours to 17 minutes!!!
