forget context, people can't even read for fiction, the number of ppl who will read something a character said and insist they'd never say it if you the author didn't personally believe it is comically large
Julie S. Lalonde@julieslalonde.bsky.social · 2w agoThe literacy crisis is not just referring to people's ability to literally read and write. It's also people's inability to read for context. I've been a public educator for over 20 years and I have never, ever seen it this bad.
MH World isnt too hard. But a lot of new players make the game s thousand times more difficult than it is and fuck themselves over in the process. (i.e., they button mash and dont learn the game).

Just A LOT of people started with World and some new players likely just weren't ready for a difficulty increase at Anjanath. LR World wasn't any harder than LR 4U, which was my first MH title.
God, grant me the courage to change the things I can and incredible new powers to change the things I can't.
