Evening all. Standard Tuesday night - played six badminton matches, won three or four of them, I lost count. Pub afterwards with some delicious pints of Magazine Cover by Deya (one of my favourite breweries) and good chats.

A pint, and the pump clip, of Magazine Cover by Deya. A hazy IPA.

One thing before I go - speak ill of the dead if they deserve it, especially if you couldn't when they were alive because they were litigious fuckwits.

Got home at midnight and cooked an epic six*-sausage (with garlic mushrooms) butty, as a late dinner. That, plus band practice then pub, is all working towards my not thinking about the shit-show awaiting me when I log into work tomorrow. *They were chipolatas so half the width of regular sausages

Band practice started an hour late as the pot-head owner of the studio forgot we were booked in. In fairness he gave us the session for free by way of an apology. We rocked 20 songs! Msged a mate @ 10.20pm suggesting pub, so we went for a couple of pints on my way home. Superb end to the weekend.

A pint and the pump badge for “Walrus of Love” stout.

Cooked an old favourite (and quick) dish tonight. Salmon and smoked chorizo with multicoloured tomatoes and olives plus penna pasta tossed in balsamic and garlic oil. Tastes better than it looks!

Evenin’ all. Well that was a long work week. There’s so much I didn’t get done, but I did complete one task that was supposed to take an afternoon but, because the client’s server environment was shonky AF, took at least two days whilst I troubleshot/fixed stuff before doing my actual work. [1/2]…

Finished work.Did a run through of my band’s current set list (we’re playing this Sun). Now sitting outside, with my newest arrival, from a bargainous set of seven of the Jeeves books by PG Wodehouse that arrived earlier in the week, The Inimitable Jeeves. I’m reading them in publication date order.

A bound pile of seven PG Wodehouse books next to a china mug of tea, or possibly coffee, on a faux raffia divider in an outdoor sectional sofa.

Books:
The Inimitable Jeeves
Carry On, Jeeves
Right Ho, Jeeves
Thank You, Jeeves
The Code of the Woosters
Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit
Jeeves in the OffingThe cover of The inimitable Jeeves by PG Wodehouse The Inimitable Jeeves, by PG Wodehouse next to a tall glass of gin and tonic, on a faux raffia divider in an outdoor sectional sofa.A yawning Stanley the dog.

Stanley and I skipped going to the park this lunchtime, and instead went to the Donkey Fields. Not sure why it’s called that because it contains neither donkeys nor fields. it does have, provide lots of mixed terrain and things to sniff for Stanley.

Yesterday’s Sunday night blues have definitely gone, and have been replaced by the Monday night blues instead. An all-Cure soundtrack to my evening hasn’t helped, although it’s always a pleasure to listen to.

I have to watch Stanley like a sodding hawk when we’re in the (off-leash) park. He can, has and will, piss on anything vaguely upright. This has previously included; benches while they’re occupied, buggies/prams, suitcases* and (very nearly) the leg of an old lady sitting on a bench. *see next…

Stopped to chat with a neighbour in the park. My dog decided to scent mark the buggy she was pushing with his piss. I suppose, to a dog, a wheel is a wheel.

I’ve just opened the Am*zon app to check a previous order, only to find there’s a “portable air conditioner”* in my basket. No idea how/when that was put there. *but it’s actually what I’d call (from having lived in the US for years) a swamp cooler, not an actual A/C unit.

A WOMAN who lives in Dubai thinks she is the best judge of what makes a good British citizen, while her boyfriend avoids tax and is under investigation for dodgy donations. What an absolute joke. Except it's real.
