I’ve just seen the Julia Hartley Brewer tweet with the terrifyingly awful AI made “Liddle in heaven” picture. I may need a moment.

I seem to be doing my photos of the stage just before the performer comes on thing again.
To everyone at Underbelly Thank you all so much for the increased audiences to the Free Fringe shows. Masterful gambit. Friz
This is a pretty good summary of why this stuff has zero appeal to anyone who actually enjoys making anything, and there will never be anything Ai companies can do about that. (Green absolutely torching his own credibility is just an astonishing unforced error. Write your own words!)
The specific focus in this video on the way these tools get under your skin and train you to depend on them is an aspect I personally find existentially terrifying. youtu.be/TtvICev9sBE?...
I have a strong feeling this will be good even if you're not a game-y person.
Huzzah, UK nerds! It’s TODAY! My show Shit Arcade opens at Edinburgh Fringe tonight! Shows run from 5-12 & 23-31 at 10:30. Excited to give you folks a very weird, very silly video game-y show.
Feeling very guilty for breaking a spider's web but I had to get to my socks.
I've fallen down a Peter Cook love tunnel again. Fascinating to watch this again. Jonathan Miller is very funny and wise in the studio interview "It was hardly a satirical response to excretion"
went looking for him with his perm and got hooked on the newsnight obituary with Miller and Bird. youtu.be/ZJBSBsImvqg?...
This is an excellent observation, I will be stea, er, adapting this
Just thinking how Johnson spoke like a newspaper column — colourful, bantering bullshit — whereas Badenoch speaks like the worst kind of comment section: querulous, chippy, pedantic (I'm just talking tone here, not content)
dipped over into Threads and it's basically nothing but this
"The greatest satirist since Swift" line about Liddle sounds especially pathetic to me this morning as I talk to other people about Peter Cook.
Here’s the latest stop motion animation from my Tiny Angry Witch team. (I’m the writer, I can’t take credit for the animating!) It’s one of our longest, and it nearly drove us all mad, but we’re really proud of getting it made! 1 x Tiny Angry Witch 1 x broom No AI
It’s funny the Telegraph calling Liddle’s critics nobodies when in the last day and a half I’ve had to explain to four people who Rod Liddle was. One of them was a journalist.
I see the Telegraph are having a breakdown because their Rod Liddle was a satirical genius take doesn’t appear to be sticking.
I do wonder if The Media Class of this country have been on the mercury cocaine. Their brains must be as hard and crumbly as Edinburgh rock. Imagine writing that paragraph and thinking *Séamas* is the bad guy.
Now, I *am* a nobody but @seamas.bsky.social is a bestseller so surely Joanna is just showing herself up here.
My Edinburgh fringe starts today. Going to see my first show this afternoon. Back on my showbiz bullshit bus for another three weeks.
All the people who are anti-gold helicopters or want to slow gold helicopters progress, I have one question: If all gold helicopters disappeared could you still get through an entire workday without Shinyboy, Yellowblades Steve or any other precious metal flying machine?

In 2014 Musk said humans will be on Mars by 2026. It’s still only August though.
Musk claims SpaceX will "probably a year from now, we will be doing at least one [Starship] flight a day, possibly more"
Sidenote. I love Chris Morris’s introductory question.
Many people outside the UK have been asking me who Rod Liddle was. Here's Stewart Lee (from 08:53 onwards) on the man described by Fraser Nelson (former editor of The Spectator) as 'the greatest satirist since Swift.' Let this be the last word on the subject. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFt3...
I’ve been excelling at not dying since childhood.
From about your mid forties onwards most people are just trying to not die
I wonder if they’ll say if Mitch McConnell is dead tomorrow or leave it a few more days to make it look more believable. Like when a dictator only gets 98% of the vote.

If you don’t fancy reading 9 Billion Names For God (but you should) there is a short film. I didn’t know this existed until 20 minutes ago. The acting is a little basic but it’s close to the original story and pretty effective.
And here's the whole thing. Looks great. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtvS...
