In Spite of Trump

No longer on "X" and probably shouldn't be on here. I joined social media in 2016 with the idea that together, we will ensure good things continue to happen, in spite of Trump.

US law enforcement agents obtained authorization to use a controversial cell phone surveillance device to find and arrest a college student who helped produce journalist Don Lemon’s coverage of an anti-ICE protest, court filings show.

Investigators also sought permission to use an invasive surveillance tool called a cell-site simulators against journalist Georgia Fort and a Minnesota state Senate candidate.

The first Russian diesel cargo heading for the US left St Petersburg on September 22, two weeks *before* Trump announced the deal with Putin, Windward reports. The Greek-flagged tanker Minerva Zen carrying 275,000 barrels of diesel/gasoil is due at the US East Coast around 11–12 October.

Let me see if I understand this . . . 1. The U.S. is at war with Iran. 2. Russia is helping Iran in that war. 3. The U.S. is now giving Russia money that it can use to help Iran destroy U.S. bases and kill U.S. troops. Donald is smart & patriotic like that.

"We want ICE the fuck out of our neighborhood." Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson delivered an impassioned, unfiltered address in Marble Hill following an ICE agent-involved shooting that left a man hospitalized.

As usual, he says it so clearly: "The Afrikaner policy... proves the catch-22 facing nonwhite immigrants: If you're poor, you're a moocher, and if you're gainfully employed, you're taking a job from a hardworking American. The only way to be a good immigrant is to be white and Christian."

The right wing crash out over asian students celebrating at a UT football game reveals that all along the true goal of reactionary colorblindness was never “meritocracy” but resegregation. (Gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1...

Color-blind meritocracy was, for many years, a successful rhetorical strategy for undermining antidiscrimination law and excluding Black people from selective schools and prominent positions. That’s why so many former segregationists seemed to suddenly embrace the concept in the 1970s. For them, resegregation—not color-blindness—was always the goal. As long as the success of some immigrants could be used to paint Black students as undeserving, color-blind meritocracy was good. But now many on the right see a new problem: too many Asian Americans in elite spaces. Their success, therefore, must be portrayed as a sinister theft of real (white) Americans’ birthright.

The declining “social trust” that the administration warned against is, of course, not the fault of these students. The problem is bigots like Bo French who cannot accept into their community people who do not share their race and religion, and those who monetize or otherwise profit from that bigotry by spreading it through social media. Like the proverbial child who kills their parents and asks for mercy as an orphan, they are responsible for the problem they are decrying.

Here it is. The final stage of what I think maybe a Trump hoax. The US President's regime openly threatens Ukraine. The deal for a few drops of diesel was a smokescreen. But he needed to present it publicly so he could then threaten Ukraine to lay off US (i.e. Putin's) interests.

🚨Sen. Gustavo Rivera caught two plain-clothed ICE agents who claimed to be investigating a shooting carried out by their colleagues in the Bronx. However, they appeared to conduct the investigation in highly illicit manners.

Trump bought over $1 million in SpaceX debt just days before unveiling a new space-travel policy. The purchase, revealed in his latest financial disclosure, involved a firm directly affected by the Trump admin's actions — and led by Elon Musk.

"You hired half the Third Reich to staff your office ... If John Lewis were marching today, Mike Collins would be grabbing a billy club" -- here's a supercut of Jon Ossoff SMASHING Mike Collins during tonight's debate

Sen. Ossoff: Mike Collins voted 7 times for the war in Iran, voted for the tariffs, and voted to cut your healthcare. His office has been in cahoots with some of the most notorious white supremacists in America. He's already brought disgrace to our state.
