Hearing on good authority that Police Chief Shon Barnes has just been fired. He just left the mayor's office this evening after being inside for quite a while. Barnes is currently calling around the police department to tell his captains. Still waiting on confirmation from mayor's office and SPD.

A motorist in Amsterdam was pulled over for being a public noise nuisance with his car. Noise measurement tests were done and the car was found to be in violation. The driver had to continue his journey on foot and the car is not allowed on public infrastructure until the exhaust is properly muffled

So the bikelash on Lake Washigton Boulevard has reached a middle.

new bike (and maybe car?) counting cable in Bell Street Park! @transportation.seattle.gov can these things tell the difference?

atrocious detour by Seattle City Light. no signs in one direction, car only signs in the opposite direction. after complaining they said I was harassing them and eventually someone wrote “pedestrian” on one of the signs (still no signs mentioning bikes)

I always ride on Denny downhill, even now. with the uphill bus lane I’m thinking riding uphill too will be doable, at least with an ebike. I tried it before with no bus lane and it was pretty scary

GOOD NEWS: Katie Wilson's proposed Seattle Transit Measure renewal will be maintained as a full ten-year, 0.3% measure after amendments to water it down were defeated. The council is still deliberating on other amendments, but those were the big ones on deck today.
