Iris Foxglove writes queer fantasy with a delightfully kinky edge. Shared pen name (Avon Gale and Fae Loxley). Pronouns she/her (Iris) & he/him (Foxglove 🏳️‍⚧️)

We can only have so many projects on our plate at one time, so Foxglove has to put all of his thoughts on our future sapphic romance in a separate document to be discussed when we AREN’T working on three things at once

Look man, I love writing the setup for this romance. I love the themes of grief and generational trauma. I love that one of the MCs was raised by an actual demon (the dad who stepped UP). But I honestly can’t wait for the part where we get to put a muzzle on this hot wyvern-rider.

I have never mistreated my cat in his entire life, but I firmly said, “no,” when he tried to drink coffee, and he staggered back and acted like I’d mortally wounded him, and only my coffee would cure his wounds A modern day fisher king but the grail was hazelnut coffee

A sneak peek at the cover for our next book is up on our Patreon for our Silver + tiers! We are very excited about this one. It’s a true standalone, and it’s been very fun to write so far!

Its almost jean jacket season. The jean jacket is a unifying force. It brings us together. The workin man, the rockers, the punks, the girlies, the baddies, and lets not forget, good old fashioned sluts god bless em

The new WIP is loudly about two guys getting really into the dragon-equivalent of pony play, but quietly about how trauma passes down to new generations like a messy game of Telephone until the catalyst of that trauma is obscured.

We just received several bot emails re: Measure of the Stars, and it is so funny reading how these bots try to imply that they actually read the book. “I love especially how your characters deal with the world of today.” It’s… a fantasy world. The characters have not hopped realities.

I met Gloria Steinem in college. A fellow student said something particularly vicious to me within earshot of her and tried to push me out of the way. Steinem pulled me aside and hugged me. She kept her arm around me for a moment.

I have no more patience for major shows and movies that tease the possibility of a Queer romance, only for it to never happen, be doomed, or have a last-minute kiss. Indie creators have written and drawn so many fantastic, fulfilling stories that I don’t want to settle for halfhearted BS.

Our writing duo’s friendship sometimes looks like this: Iris: I’m going out on a moonlit kayaking adventure to a mysterious island! Foxglove, eating chips out of the bag: I’m reading about beef between German writers in the 13th century Iris: 🤝 Foxglove: 🤝

I'm literally on my knees begging you to read or watch anything made by queer people for queer people rather than scraping the bottom of the barrel for scraps in things that are overwhelmingly heterosexual. IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER

It’s a bit troubling to hear about someone talking about needing to make demons “irredeemable” for the sake of “accuracy,” because that implies that this person believes that demons are real enough for accuracy to be a concern.
