Ok, hear me out. Make the men play with a size 5.5 ball. Instead of stalling the progress of the women's game that lags behind because of aforementioned ban, stall the men to let women's rugby catch up. Ah, yes, men things are sacred. Women things are for controlling.

I am not a boxing fan. I absolutely respect their dedication and skill, but the sport is not for me. That being said, last night was amazing. What that woman has done for Irish sport, and for Irish women's sport in particular, cannot be overstated. Fair play, Katie. You proved them all wrong.

In the past 4 years I've been in so many stadia seeing women perform. The Aviva many times. Tallaght. Brighton. Exeter. Croker. Every time I cynically say as I walk through the dense crowd of fans "nobody gives a fuck about women's sport". Too many times I heard it. And I enjoy the chuckle now.

So my kids do swimming at the weekends. Parents are all poolside or up in a gallery. Phone use is not allowed. Because of obvious reasons. Two weeks in a row I've seen 3-4 men using their phone. One recording his kid. They've all been told not to. Still do it. They just don't care.

If a heterosexual couple have a child together, using donor sperm, and the husband is Irish, that child can get an Irish passport. If a same sex couple have a child together, using donor sperm, and the non-birthing parent is Irish, the child CANNOT get an Irish passport. Our system is homophobic.
