Not really the point, but the framing that “we eliminated measles in 2000” is deeply misleading. There were literally thousands of cases between 2000 and Trump’s 1st term; Trump sucks and he wrecked the CDC and made measles worse, but it was never not there and we shouldn’t have said otherwise

I don’t like this, but I would just point out that this is what industrial level book scanning does. They guillotine off the spine and put the now loose sheets into a feeder for scanning. Afterwards, they either shrink wrap and shelve the remains or pulp them
