The vegan food in Salt Lake City has been blowing my mind a bit. Vegan Bowl (Vietnamese place!) and Vertical Diner (better than the Portland one) have made a very difficult trip a little better.

A quirk I miss from growing up in a beach town is that it’s socially acceptable to show up almost anywhere completely dripping wet and disheveled. Even in laid back, rainy Portland this gets you looks.
An unspoken benefit of consuming as much art, media, music etc as possible is that you will inevitably find something successful or popular that makes you say “I could do that!” If you only experience high quality things you like then producing work of that magnitude will always feel unattainable

Still reeling from showing my game at PIGCON, what an incredible weekend! The atmosphere, the games, and the people were amazing- the artist alley and talks were top notch. So much work went into this and the organizers deserve all the props for a successful, fun and safe event!
