I've been getting ARC requests for my new novel. I turn them down. Maybe some authors will think me weird, but I haven't done ARCs since 2018 - when I discovered my then novel on a pirate site before release day. I'm grateful that my books still sell. I write cos I love it, not to chase reviews.

Now that my book is complete I have the #urge to stay in bed Catch up on some shows Rest my weary head But... books don't market themselves I'll do some promo instead It's true what they say... There's no rest for the w...writer! #vss365 #poem #writerslife

How women in the Irish music/comedy/arts/entertainment industry in general don't go completely insane is beyond me. Same issues over and over and over. How many have been subtly, quietly pushed out or felt they had no choice but to abandon careers. How much talent have we silently lost.
