My reading is the DSA wants to abolish the system that rewards the rich & imprisons the poor. If they wanted to abolish prisons, they would say it clearly - like when they say abolish ICE. The prison system platform is entitled "End Mass Incarceration and Police Immunity", not "Abolish Prisons."
