Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.

This is Nutmeg, she visits me almost every night around 10pm for up to an hour. She loves cat food, playing in the leaves, running laps around the garden, and is apparently friends with my cat? #hedgehog (photos taken with the night mode function, it's actually very dark!)

A close up of a hedgehog on paving slabs with a garden gate behind. The shot looks deceptively well lit due to the phone camera's night mode. The hedgehog appears to be looking shyly into the cameraA close up of a hedgehog on paving slabs with a garden gate behind and artificial grass in the foreground. I've felt a strong pull back to the offline world for the last 6 to 12 months, after about 20 years of the internet being a safe refuge for me I'm just constantly overwhelmed by the combination of the worst of humanity, and the rise of tat and slop *everywhere* I look Completely exhausting

At #EMFCamp with badge and hexpansion ready to go! Struggling to get a good picture of it, but it's the constellation Orion on a custom PCB, sat within a wood effect 3D printed chassis, with laser cut galaxy-style acrylic on top. Github links to follow Looking forward to a long weekend of nerdery!

Hexagonal electronic badge with rainbow LEDs around the outside and a screen in the middle showing "hello my name is Jade". Attached on the right is the "hexpansion", which shows the constellation of Orion in white LEDs. The material it's on is galaxy themed and appears hazy and cloud-like. They're arranged on a blanket but the photo was taken in the dark so the rainbow LEDs cast a colourful effect.

I was very fortunate to work as a visiting scholar at the Bennett Institute at University of Oxford for 6 months. Below I reflect on that experience, what we achieved, and what's yet to come! It's a privilege to get to continue to work with these great folk. www.bennett.ox.ac.uk/blog/2026/06...

It was inevitable, wasn't it🙄 Of course the Telegraph would run with something like this👇 So let's remove some of the rose-tinted spectacles and also look at some of that data comparing 1976 with modern heat waves Because the 1976 nostalgia porn is wearing a bit thin at this stage 🧵1/23

Telegraph headiline:

"Heatwave hysterics wouldn't have lasted a day in 1976", overlaid with a bold “MONK DEBUNKED” stamp.

I actually can't believe that Farage and his party of xenophobic shitbags are running and polling so high and that the media are just treating it like it's normal. It's nightmarish to watch.
