Stop calling me an amateur. I've been doing this for decades. I'm incompetent.

You know a trade is popular and good when your play-by-play announcer is processing his grief, on air, in realtime.
My beloved beisbolcats, the Detroit Tigers, were absolutely fleeced and the Dodgers have only further reinforced why there won’t be baseball in 2027. This sucks.
let's take a moment also to celebrate the first absolute meatball down the middle getting fucking crushed. the first woman in pro baseball league history to get her shit rocked
and Denae Benites hits the first home run in Women's Pro Baseball League history!

This is Microsoft (who own LinkedIn and are first and foremost an AI company now) using free labor to improve their other AI, don't fall for this shit

Look: yes, it is amusing in a schadenfreude sort of way that everybody is pointing and laughing at Trump’s third (fourth?) documented instance of shitting himself in public. At the same time we should not have to watch the President of the United States shit himself even once. I miss the decorum.
Nine hours after going live, the itch bundle benefiting our Game Worker Hardship Fund has already raised over $13k! Thank you so much to those who have already purchased. And for those who might be waiting for payday, you’ve still got about two weeks left! Thank you so much 🙏
As a pro-union baseball loving trombone player who both loves cats and has an entirely-too-colorful history his own, I’ve gotta go with Sisko, Riker, O’Brien, T’ana, and Mariner.
Burnham, Kira, O'Brien, T'Ana and Mariner FINAL ANSWER
The button, realistically, is meant to train the AI slop machine to make AI slop that reads more like the already not-quite-human screeds you see on there so frequently. The obvious solution, therefore, is to flag *everything* as AI Slop.

Oh my God, this is not a drill - LinkedIn has added 'seems like AI slop' as an option on posts Genuinely thought it was a joke until I clicked on a few posts
It’s easy to make fun of this guy for this, after the years of transfusions, gene hacking, and most recently, claiming to have had himself cloned so that his clone can mature and he can harvest his own organs one day BUT if he had some eureka moment that gets him to knock this shit off? …good.
keep thinking about the evil of this. It's not just destroying the physical books, bad as that is. They are trying to remove the underpinnings of knowledge, destroy all the accumulated wisdom - and silliness, and creativity, and whatever else humans have thought worthy of writing down.
No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.
It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.
Oh hell yeah. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a good ol’ fashioned writer fight.

I know more about the inner workings of Epic Games than anybody who has never worked there rightly should, and every time Tim Sweeney opens his mouth about embracing generative AI I have to remind myself to not violate the trust of those who confide in me just how fucked up things are there.
1.) Agreed. 2.) I've been online for too long because, even now, I'm wondering why Jared Leto is there.
The Double Fine news sucks. It sucks for the folks who were let go. It sucks for the folks who remain. It sucks for the people who had to make the decision. It sucks.
Andy Beshear isn’t “finally” calling Mitch McConnell out. The reason McConnell’s team produced the first proof-of-life photo was in response to a public letter from Beshear on July 8 and remarks on July 12 demanding answers on McConnell’s health and whereabouts. time.com/article/2026...

X Money is launching in the US starting today
I sometimes wonder how much of the digital shift is driven by a lack of general enthusiasm across the board. Obviously I bought more physical games back in the day, but as the industry transitioned to digital I didn’t shift to buying more digital games; I just bought fewer games, period.
If I could include miniseries I’d say “Don’t Fear the Reaper” from The Stand, and if I were asked to put together a top-ten list I’d imagine at least seven of the entries would be Tarantino films BUT for my money the single-best use of music in film… “The Sound of Silence” from The Graduate.
Best use of a song in a movie: go! Rules: 1. A song, not part of the score. We’re looking for lyrics. 2. The song was NOT written for the movie.
Hi. Michigander here, born and raised. I have no idea what in the holly jolly hell she’s talking about.
"Cool kids on the Internet. They're doing the cool kid chatter. Some of 'em might be the coastal elites, making fun of how I talk. But let's be real. They're making fun of Michigan. They're thinking they're better than us. Their jokes, their criticism, only make me fight harder." -- Haley Stevens
The United Kingdom is part of the ICC; the US is not. We should be, but if we were then a good number of our elected leaders would immediately be arrested for various crimes and… and… shit, I think I’ve just talked myself into wanting the US to join the ICC.
oh damn. we got a mayor off.
A company-mandated three-day weekend has come and—oh no. Somehow Cyberpunk 2077 has booted up on my living room PC. There goes my weekend, I guess. Curious how that keeps happening.
