Watched The Odyssey in an open air cinema in Peloponnese, Greece. An epic film which grapples with moral consequences. I got the impression people enjoyed it. The Greeks I was with thought it was very good.

I cycled phase 1 of the Wilmslow Handforth cycle path, its alright. Better than the share paths in the area. I read people have seen school children use it, that is good to hear.
Hatters Yard (148 flats) opposite Weir Mill (253 flats) in Stockport is starting to go up. Due to complete 2028. Once both finished that could be 1200 people living a short stroll away from the centre of Stockport. Which can only be very good for the economy of the town centre.
Stockport TPT improvements, Benches going in along TPT next to the Mersey. A Staircase path connecting to the mersey path is no longer stairs.

Wonderful to see the Heaton Mersey Common scheme now completed. You would not believe the hostility this created among some of my neighbours back when the scheme was consulted on.

I saw this bike outside my local supermarket. It's a thing of beauty. A converted old Orange mountain bike frame with a 1 x. The young lad had put a lot of effort and attention into building this. He let me pick it up, felt really light, about 8kg. TPU tubes on. A really nice everything bike.
We are back to normal for the gym bike parking.

Genius, not seen the cork from a wine bottle being used as bar caps before.
Today we celebrated the opening of Deansgate Cycleway by riding the entire length to Chorlton and grabbing a beer. The dream!
I must have seen about 20 people cycling along the newly completed section of the Deansgate cycleway in Manchester at 9am.
I find the sort of people who flytip are usually the worst people in existence in terms of how they view the world and everything in it. We need to start making serious examples of people who do this.

This point closure on a Quiet Lane in Tameside shows what's possible if you are serious about making rural roads safer, more enjoyable and *quieter* for non-motorised users and residents. Hint hint, Stockport Council.

Warburton Bridge now has a proper pavement, rather than a dirt track. Before and after.
Old Road out of Whalley Bridge to Buxton before and after. Now, it is vastly improved and ridable on a road bike. Decent climb, too. @100climbs.bsky.social
