Hello! Today, we have for you a 3DS factory tool called CTR Multi Loader, which would load firmware files from an SD card. This was dumped from a 3DS X2A prototype unit, and this build of the tool is dated June 2, 2010. (More details in 🧵)

ok yeah i lined them up and attempted to recreate the edit, they're DEFINITELY the same stock bunny pic. the only parts that don't line up are its posture (as previously mentioned) and its nose, which was slightly raised in Badge Arcade (easier to see up close) i only spend time on important stuff.

did ANYONE else besides me notice that the lil PNG of a bunny that shows up in the new Tomodachi Life demo is almost definitely the same bunny they edited for a joke in 3DS Badge Arcade over a decade ago? like the head/face/ears are identical. who the hell was waiting 12 years to use this again lmao

Some comments from @dark1x.bsky.social on the DF Retro Super Show really stood out to me. There's something satisfying when learning or discovering something new with an older game. Especially so in an age of instant information, where new subjects are already quickly documented by others.
