what am i missing with all these golf comedies? happy gilmore 2 was a sequel admittedly, but was there a need for owen wilson and will ferrell to pull a deep impact/armageddon on us? is golf ripe for sports comedy because the lead doesnt have to be young or hit the gym to star?

this is 2 weeks late, but it was so cool to see @cbbworld.bsky.social live, and after listening and watching @scottaukerman.bsky.social & @pftompkins.bsky.social since college (over a decade ago, ulp) it was amazing to see them in person. so glad this introvert shut-in ventured out for a good time

i looked for marketing jobs in ny when i lived there bc i fantasized about then transitioning to music videos, film, etc… but truth be told i was probably way too introverted and awkward for that industry
