A big problem with the She-Ra mini comics is.. there is no reason for Arora not to always be She-Ra. Her clothes don't even change.. she only gets a mask.

no matter how much you opine for your mythic miracle past that was "better" (a thing MAGA constantly do), we cannot go back to that and it most likely wasn't as good as you think..

Nothing humbles you like having a 12+ year career, having written almost every major Big 2 character, and moving to a new town to, as you always do, offer to do anything you can to help local retailers-signing stock, free in-store appearances, anything. While shopping, I saw an ice cream called "chocolatey chip." Figured it must be marketed to people with a chocolate allergy.

I do wonder how much people would love or hate things as much as they do if.. the internet didn't push people to generally pick sides.

One of the things I think we're missing in 2026 is the time when you could go watch a movie or a show or play a game or whatever, throughly enjoy it.. and never once realize it is generally panned or hated.

Our hearts go out to Chris Arrant & everyone at Popverse. Sad news day. A good reminder to financially support the independents doing the good work as corporations dismiss the value of comics and its readers. (Finally just subscribed to The Beat's Patreon)

was looking up Christopher Pike book covers (as one does) and man, you just can't beat this one. It's like one of those convoluted giallo titles but in YA horror book cover form

We all love the narrative that politicians are bought and paid for by rich people through donations... And politicians love it too.. cause it absolves them of doing harmful things, they're just following orders. Nah.. they have the power. The wealthy just want a part of their power.

We, as a society, care more about celebrities saying the right thing over politicians doing the right thing.. and it's bonkers to me. Also bonkers how often we pretend like politicians aren't an elite wealthy class.
