Annoyed I can't make this but I heard Elinor speak at LILAC in Cardiff in 2025 and it was incredibly powerful stuff - would definitely recommend attending just for Elinor but the rest of the programme looks like it's shaping up to be excellent too!

Just finished reading Drained by @leahruppanner.bsky.social and feel very seen! A wonderfully hopeful book that doesn’t shy away from the structural issues but gives practical strategies for everyday life too. Timely reminder of the link between mental load, identity and normative gender ideas.

Working on a systematic review search strategy and couldn't find one of the target papers so did a bit of detective work and realised I was missing out a key search term... just added it in and it managed to add over a 100 papers to the results... not sure if this a win for the authors or not 😂

I know people are a bit funny about changing banks but for the last few years I've received at least £100 each year from Nationwide as part of their Happy Fairer Share Day. It's the closest feeling to getting a bonus I've ever had. Would highly recommend. Plus building societies rule.

This story, insofar as it deals with the National Railway Museum, is utterly absurd. If you rock up to a museum event expecting to dump a load of stuff on the staff, and are then surprised to be politely refused, then you clearly have no idea what museums are for. www.cityam.com/a-state-of-t...
