I think this is probably the first place other than @openlibhums.org annual report that mentions @plos.org are contributing to @janewayolh.bsky.social and will be utilising it as part of their workflow. It’s pretty incredible that a project I started with @eve.gd has come so far.

Many thanks to everyone who joined #JanewayOA26 online and in person, and to all the speakers, for two wonderful days at Dublin City University discussing Janeway, open infrastructure, and community-led scholarly publishing.
I guess what's behind it is the fact that though the work is hard and takes a lot of time, things are happening and being made possible. In a context where people feel disempowered and demotivated, the Lower Deck has shown community-led open access is an energising force in academia.
One of the things I've loved about #JanewayOA26 is the collective sense of shared motivation and sense of purpose- a type of hopeful optimism that remains deeply critical and evidence-based. I've typed 'yay' and 'awesome' a lot, and I haven't been the only one.
