This is STILL bad vaccination policy. They are openly stating this unadvertised survey will be used to guide the number they order and reduce wastage - ie to order less vaccines. Responsible spending would be to order WAY MORE and have a robust communications & outreach program to boost vax rates.

Good news: clarified message. Bad news: here’s the message “Pre-ordering for the 2026–2027 immunization season starts on Sept 29 and ends Dec 15. Pre-ordering helps secure vaccines, reduce wastage, and support responsible spending. Albertans can still book next year if they don’t pre-order.” 1/2

Got off the plane and walked into a drug store in Ottawa and got my COVID vaccine in under 5 minutes. No line up. No appointment. No cost. Was even asked if I wanted Moderna or Pfizer. It’s unconscionable that we can’t get this same level of service in Alberta.
