Part of me wants to get off social media until at least after the midterm elections. But I worry I will return to a land of self-immolating guerilla warriors. Assuming that doesn’t also happen in real life.

I just read Nicked, a historical fiction novel that reads like a fantasy adventure. Incredibly fun book. Somewhere between the dog man, the gay romance, the heist of a corpse, and the fiery naval battle, you realize you’ve actually learned a great deal about the 11th-century Mediterraean.
