There has been one editor in the country i know of who has been interested in stories about the reality for young trans kids who play sports post Hecox and BPJ. People used to beg me for stories I had all over the country. I don’t have time to pitch every outlet on earth. Silence is telling.

I haven’t gotten a single assignment request. Trans writers used to be tokenized to write about these things but now that the topic is “mainstream,” those bylines go elsewhere.

The SC finger pointer anti-trans bigotry shit has me fucked up. I think of going to Ballhalla and how JOYOUS all the fans are - young, old, cis, trans, straight, gay, everyone having the best time. And then THIS. Absolute ugliness. That finger pointer brought FILTH into the game. It’s disgusting.

There's now an incentive structure in place to put these protesters courtside at every WNBA game to goad everyone into saying something to them. And now the league can't do anything except ban signs for everyone.

A: Thank you for that question. I think just in terms of how I'm seeing it is- I could answer with, like for me, sports is about belonging. It's about inclusivity. It's about allowing everyone to be their authentic self.
You know, I'm big on that just because I have been criticized for my height, for my ethnicity. I've been in those: "You shouldn't belong here" [conversations] many times, and for me, I don't want that space, especially Golden State, to ever feel like that. So I'm all about women, little girls deserving to play, and that includes trans women.
