This World Cup already had asterisks attached to it. The mistreatment of Iran, an African official barred entry, Asian *and* African fan visas denied en masse, and forced in-game commercial breaks amidst the backdrop of Trump's fascist white nationalism. FIFA corruption re: Balogun is a footnote.

That he refuses to do anything other than carefully choreographed appearances where the press can't grill him is beyond frustrating.
