it's actually sad as hell to use AI for research when research is the fun part. you can just email people and call them on the phone and ask them questions about the thing that they have expertise in. you can read documents & learn cool shit. ok now i'm just talking about how being a reporter is fun

Having a food intolerance that you don't make a big deal out of is all fun and games until someone who knows u can't have an ingredient hands u something w/ it and u accept it bc she's always remembered before and now ur looking at depression and GI problems for the rest of your family vacation

If you post survey data, news articles, etc. without a link back to the source whenever possible, you are weakening the informational chain of custody and making it harder for other people to confirm that they're seeing accurate information. This holds even if you're mad at whatever it is.

people are like "how can you praise a company that does evil for doing a good thing" no, no, dummy, you want to praise people for doing good and discourage them from doing bad. this helps them adjust their behavior. we like it when you do good things, we do not like it when you do bad things.

Hi, as someone who grew up in a rural area and realistically can never return, I am fine with conditioning farm aid/highway and infra money/Medicare and Medicaid/etc on rural deNazification efforts.

Nothing's worse than listening to an album that just dropped from a band you absolutely love and it's just mediocre. Like it's just there, no fun experimental bits, it's just a rehash of their late 2000s early 2010s sound but with less overdrive guitar and guest vocalists
