So, I’m quite busy atm doing contract work. And it often involves very quickly learning about very technical things. A friend asked if AI could help. And all I could say was that AI has always missed the most important things. Every single time.

The attack in Berlin the other day was a wake up call to double down on organizing, spend more time with my Queer friends, and be louder and more visible than ever before. They want us gone? Fuck that. They get us louder and more in their face instead.

Among many other things this is a good illustration of the necessity of untethering ideology and "fight" in intra-Democratic battles. The party is very united on fight, very divided on ideology. You unite on fight, let different constituencies/states find their center of gravity on ideology.

All of the elements described in this thread about Berlin and Germany are true of Australia right now. In the last year it’s been the first time in my life I’ve started wondering, expecting Australia’s neo-Nazis to do something like this. This needs to be a wake up call.

I don't think it's really hit international news yet. Potential terrorist attack at Berlin pride somewhere around 10PM. A van drove into the crowd at Tiergarten. Last I heard 12 injured, no deaths, perpetrator on the run. They evacuated and stopped the event.

For fuck’s sake - how can you say in the same article that AI is an “excellent research tool” while in the paragraph before describing it actively making things up about tax law. That would make it a HORRIBLE research tool. “Excellent” research tools don’t MAKE SHIT UP.

That's a timely reminder that while Al is an excellent research tool, it shouldn't be treated as a substitute for professional advice or a proper understanding of the legislation.

That and asking politicians to remember specific numbers, stats, etc perfectly off the top of their heads. Such lazy journalism and doesn’t actually hold them to account - who cares how good they are at memory tests.

People isolate you to protect themselves. Even if your intentions are good. Even if you’re actually what’s needed in a situation. They’ll isolate you, because anything different is a threat. People hate difference because it reveals things about themselves they don’t want to face.

In 3 days in Aus, 2 women and 2 girls have been lost to femicide. A man is charged with killing Jana Armstrong, whose baby is 4 mths. A 16yo boy is charged with killing 13yo Layla Jeffery, a 17yo unnamed girl was killed July 6, 39yo mum Lavanya Chappa July 7. Accused killers all known to victims.
