Accessibility job descriptions should have an honest indication of how much of the role is being an audit machine and how much is the actual interesting stuff. Big difference between using an audit as a consultation tool and doing constant audits with occasional “fun” stuff as a treat.

You should care about accessibility just on principle, because it's good and right and important. But if you can't manage that, you should care because at any moment you or your loved ones could be struck the fuck down by an act of God and need their entire world to become accessible overnight.
