It's August, which means it's Spinal Muscular Atrophy Awareness Month! I have SMA type II, a progressive disability which gradually weakens muscles over time. I've been taking a drug for the past 5 years which HOPEFULLY stop the progression so I can maintain what little strength I have left!

This is the criticism I've been waiting for ever since the article came out. The Odyssey was EXACTLY how it should have been – an epic fable that's grand in scenery and drama and action and sound. Nolan did exactly that. He took it from strictly words to powerful visuals and imagery.
