I haven't been talking about this a lot (except on instagram and patreon), but lately Ive been managing a band called Sayonara BAP! This week we've been working away in the recording studio. We're planning on getting an EP out by the end of the year!!

I've MANY feelings about the state of trad publishing for comics, most of which are angsty & fill me w/ dread. So I'll just say: If you read a book you loved, tell the creator! Tell your friends! Tell the internet! Tell your local library! Buy a copy! We need to hear that what we created matters.

Something I wasn’t prepared for is how much *audacity* it takes to be an author—or even an artist—in publishing. You gotta be ready to pitch yourself to anyone at any time, arrange & set up your own events, build your own hype, all while burying your insecurities. It’s a shockingly extroverted job.
