She/Her. Librarian. Indie writer of SFF and Romance, often with bi leads. Interested in music, languages, and my cats.

#QueerWriters I finished big edits for my WIP last week. I am doing the final prose polish before sending it to the editor. I had hoped today, but in reality, it will probably be Friday. My true goal is to be DONE with A Work of Art by the weekend! [Then it's the editor's responsibility.]

#WriterShareWednesday An artist. A model. An important portfolio, and a broken-down car. A connection neither woman quite knows what to do with. A Work of Art is a sweet, slow-burn sapphic romance about being seen—and learning what it means to let someone see you. Out September 23, 2026.

Good morning! It's #WriterShareWednesday ! Share a pitch for your WIP or one of your published works (including links if you have them) and we'll give it a boost! Please use alt text in your images for accessibility & note that AI "work" will not be shared

Plan on handing over my manuscript to my editor next week. I just found the most delightful typo. "Winter Snowcase." It was supposed to be "Showcase." The snow had other plans.

Hey Azizona! Wanna come meet me, a bunch of other local authors, and buy some signed books? Well the Mall Fall Book Fair at Superstition Springs Center is only a couple of weeks away! I'll be there on August 15th from 10am-5pm. Make sure you plan your Saturday accordingly!

#QueerWriters Goals My goals are SIMPLE I'm challenging myself to finish revisions on my short novella. I have 6 chapters that need attention. If I can get that done, then I can share with the editor early. If not, the editors are too booked for me to have the release timeline I'd like.

I didn't realize I had to say I wasn't going to pay for a service. I was hoping for an interested reader or an exchange of manuscripts with another author. If you just want the paid job, just stop before you try to message. I won't say yes. I'm sorry I even asked.

#WeeknightWriters A2 I need BETA READERS for a fast turn around on a 20K story I'm revising. (Done by 7/25-ish) Sapphic, college age romance Out bisexual model x questioning/unsure artist Artistic nudity and kisses, but not explicit Themes of independence and finding self worth No break up DM plz!

#WeeknightWriters A3 Joys My cats *always*. Specific to my revisions, they are going well, and the feeling of good word-smithing goes very far! Plus, I've been working with a writing coach online, and got this to go with my WIP. I'm dazzled at how awesome it is. Mood boards are new for me.

In the center of the image are the tropes for the story A Work of Art by JD Cadmon. The tropes are: Artist x muse; slow burn; college romance; sapphic love story; hot chocolate & honesty; sketchbooks and late nights; finding inspiration in unexpected places. Around that are several representational images. Starting from the top left and going clockwise: a mug of hot chocolate; a sketchbook with drawings of a naked backside; "Art is how we see each other"; Someone being decorated with Dia de los Muertos face makeup; a scarf with the note "you forgot this"; another sketchbook drawing, this time of a face; a quote "I I don't know who I am yet. But I think I'm starting to find out."' a church with a quote "some people see art. Others become it."; a pizza with the note "Dinner & a show", and lastly at center left, a college dorm with bunk beds and fairy lights on the walls.

#WeeknightWriters Intro I'm JD (she/her), often late to the party, but especially late in July because of a fitness class. I write queer-tinged SciFi and Romance, aka BiFi because my lead characters tend to be bisexuals. In revisions on a Sapphic artist/model romance novella, out in September.

It’s Nonbinary Awareness Week (and International Nonbinary People’s Day), which is why we’ve decided to compile a list of 18 nonbinary authors you can read from this week—and all year round! All of these authors have some amazing—and extensive!—backlists that you can check out any time 💛🤍💜🖤
