I think the sorry phenomenon of gig-filming is 90 percent about socials, rather than believing you'll ever watch it back. I feel like in the past decade or so we've been reprogrammed bit by bit to believe if we don't share what we're doing with everyone, it almost doesn't count as doing it at all.

honestly I think literally all gigs should do this, sincerely don't understand what people believe they're achieving by not meaningfully watching a gig and instead filming a video they will obviously never watch again, hateful behaviour, get rid

imagine a world where Bezos and Musk gave the same percentage of their net worth to direct service - like physically putting books in kids’ hands and equipment in school band rooms - as she did, instead of putting their profits into their weird self-insert scifi fanfic

The government will take a £12 billion hit on the public finances if/when it belatedly reduces the current [unrealistically high] OBR projection of net migration averaging 235k for next 3 years to about 130-150k. (But it could double that cost if it wants to stay closer to zero net migration).

It's funny how no-one ever asks where the money is coming from when you announce a cut in immigration.

Good article on the EU fingerprint scanning at airports fiasco. Didn’t even realise you’re supposedly able to register at a kiosk to speed things up for three years. Didn’t see these on recent trips to Split and Copenhagen... but apparently they don’t work anyway! www.thetimes.com/business/com...

The simple reason EES ruined your summer holiday: no one tested it

The EU’s Entry/Exit System is causing ‘mega queues’ and businesses say it’s ‘not fit for purpose’. Who are the companies behind it?

Ringgo is one of the best apps on my phone – an example of genuine technological progress making people's lives easier. Remember carrying around loads of pound coins? Only an idiot would want to go backwards.

A Brit in the semis of Wimbledon, England still in the World Cup and Nigel Farage spending the summer arguing with a bin. Oh this happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea
