This is a really good watch. So many GLAM organisations have bespoke research resources online that pose long term challenges. Good to see how the Bodleian very pragmatically decided to move valuable content onto more stable platforms, even if this meant some loss of bespoke features.
When @bodleian.ox.ac.uk faced a real cyberattack threat, they shut down 20 "Specialist Digital Resources"—and discovered hidden researcher communities who depended on them. Watch this CNI session on bringing 13 of the resources back online while balancing competing user, tech, and security needs.
We are seeking to appoint two independent members to our Collections Committee, for up to 4 years: One with significant experience in the management of historic collections in museums or heritage sites One with significant experience in the digital humanities. Closes 24 August: lnkd.in/e38mtWDf

Made it to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, just before closing. It’s a really special municipal museum - thoughtful and fresh and challenging and modern in all the right ways. Loved it. Also how the digital collection was available/signposted, too. #Exeter
