Trans woman, 30s, autistic, socialist.
I am so lucky that I get to spend every single night holding the woman I love. I'm not sure how I would've gotten through everything that happened this year if I didn't have her to make me feel safe at night.
im really hoping this is the end of the “trans man gotcha” argument. people didn’t listen to trans men when they asked us all to stop it, but this should bring the reality into sharp fucking focus.
A trans man in the UK has been banned in the workplace restrooms after he was forced to use the women's restrooms to comply with the new EHRC guidance. The women complained because he is visibly male and so they told him he can't use any bathroom.
I'm fed up with the slander that dommes and domme-leaning switches are confident. We're mostly shy weirdos who thrive on intimacy with clear roles, expectations and consent. Also giving someone a bunch of orgasms is a great way of reassuring yourself that maybe you are good enough for them.
My favourite plague marine sculpt is 100% down with the sickness.
Morning all. The children have returned to school so obviously they have brought back plague. So this week the theme is…sick. Let’s see the sickness. As usual I’ll repost the lot and if you like something, share it! #Nerdlings #FindFolkFriday
Economies of Scale Critical (ESC)- a bold new approach to political economy.
An entire politics and worldview animated by a lively terror that somewhere, somebody might be eating a free cheese sandwich
Can't wait to see the show about a maverick cop who exclusively uses phrenology despite those PC pencil pushers at city hall.
I really wish my subconscious wouldn't torture me so much. I have the nightmare that my marriage has ended so often that it basically has its own canon at this point.
I've got an ulcer on the side of my tongue and am stuck sounding like Daffy Duck until it heals.
They should do a whole series of the Great British Sewing Bee where they transform trans people's pre-transition wardrobes into clothes that affirm their gender.
Expecting women to be as thin as possible is nonce shit. It's the gendered fetishisation of youth and powerlessness.
I look in the mirror constantly, grateful that I have curves and that my body is shaped exactly how I always wanted it to be pre-transition. The idea that no one wants to be chubby or anything but rail-thin is laughable and offensive, and I'm mad that it's coming back now.
Men will send me emails like this and then go rampaging on the streets of Dover and Portsmouth claiming they want to keep refugees out in order to “PROTECT OUR WOMEN!” Not a single one of the young male refugees I’ve worked with has ever spoken to me with such violent misogyny.
These are some pretty serious accusations - I understand why "bringing the party into disrepute" is a useful tool to get rid of people who are damaging to your political movement - but if it was done for transphobic reasons? Fuck that.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_... The Battle of Holbeck Moor in 1936. Oswald Mosley (whose grandson runs Palantir UK) tried to start nazi shit in the Jewish quarter of Leeds. *30,000* antifascists showed up to tell him to eat shit and die, pelting him and his buddies with rocks til they fled.

"This old body of mine is wearing g a bit thin" I say as I take oestrogen for the first time, and then have to wait months for it to have an effect.
I know people are down on the most recent season of Strange New Worlds, but did you SEE Spock's big titted evil twin?
We had animal handling for my daughter's birthday, and this Royal Python was the cuddliest little fellow!
I started 'watching' Two Broke Girls just to have some mindless noise in the background, but unfortunately now I'm actually invested in shipping Max and Caroline, despite being fully aware that the show they are in is hetslop.
William Morris curtains are for basic bitches, and I am that basic bitch.
in the 90s it was nearly impossible for an out trans woman to have a career in academia. thank god we have equality now (it is nearly impossible for anyone to have a career in academia)
Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie that came out when you were 20 years old?
Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? (It was a great year for films, but I think this is my favourite because I remember watching it so many times with my late father and he sooo enjoyed it)
I love living in the UK, I've come back from leave to toilet segregation and my colleague potentially being deported.
My take on the Strange New Worlds puppet episode is that it 100% was not all a dream and the rest of the crew and T'Pring have all just agreed to gaslight Spock.
Three years on HRT. Never going back.
Whatever you do, don't watch Wild Robot with your young children just before they go back to school. A LOT of tears. But it's a bloody beautiful film ❤️
The Suitcase Kid, by Jacqueline Wilson. My parents separated when I was five, and the book gave me catharsis and comfort for all the difficult feelings I was going theough. I know it did for a lot of other kids of my generation who went through this as well.
In honor of Dolly and her commitment to getting books to kids, tell me about a book you read as a child that changed your life. I’ll start: so many, but tonight maybe I’ll say A WRINKLE IN TIME, a book that taught me anger wasn’t wrong.
Every so often I get reminded that there are people out there who think IQ is something other than total bullshit and that’s always depressing.
The fact that HBO compelled even this lukewarm non-apology out of one of the modern world's proudest and more powerful bigots means that her hatred is actually affecting their bottom line.
JK Rowling issues surprising message of support for trans adults www.lgbtqnation.com/... #transgender #trans #LGBTQ #LGBTQIA
For me the big appeal of trans Petra Parker isn't just a fantasy of a transfeminine super hero- it's a fantasy of a world where even the worst supervillains and tabloid journalists are supportive of trans people and our right to exist as ourselves.
