I was trying to describe plexiglass to someone the other night. But it was the end of a very long day and the word plexiglass completely escaped me. The only thing I could think of was "transparent aluminum." Apparently my #StarTrek nerdery intensifies when I'm tired.

Writing dialogue come easily to me, but it occured to me that one of my characters needs to be more taciturn, so I set the goal of limiting his dialog to no more than 6 words at a time. It's not a comfortable restriction, and I might loosen it to 10, but it's an interesting challenge. #writersky

In a bitter May runoff, Texas Republicans nominated Bo French, an investor with only the vaguest glimmer of industry experience and a mostly irrelevant and racist political program that calls for deporting 100 million people, purging the nation of Muslims, and emulating a defunct apartheid state.
