Having worked a little in Nestjs recently, and now spending the day in Nextjs - wow, Nest is such a better organized project. Even simple things like being able to have multiple middleware, or attaching context to the logger in one place, are easy in Nest and a pain in the ass in Next.

I agree with a lot in this @mmasnick.bsky.social piece: www.techdirt.com/2024/04/22/j... As parents, what we enable and what we restrict has to be more nuanced than simply “it’s all bad; let’s cut kids off.” In a tech-enabled society any path we choose has tradeoffs that need to be considered.
