GOG should open a fundraiser sale for a small form factor super cheap PC for retro and indie gaming with a Blu Ray drive and encourage people to burn their own game discs with it and see how well that works against Valve's steam machine-

When I try to talk about Epilepsy Accessibility in videogames, I've started to talk less about "how many more people can play your game" and more about how "this game can cause fatal harm to people if certain options aren't implemented, or even considered."

The real reason game companies are trying to move away from true physical releases is to prevent you from ripping the files off the disk/cart for emulation. This generation of games will be the hardest to preserve.

Please do NOT follow the art supply company Grabie (@grabieofficial). They have been recreating, stroke for stroke, other people’s tutorials, stealing work, and not crediting anyone. This hurts artists.

I think I've said and done some shit and had some pretty piss poor takes when I've been off my meds (not by choice, lost insurance) and I worry if I ever get popular people are going to dredge up that stuff I quite literally said while in the middle of a psychotic break as some sort of gotcha.

I don't like the "I will/should/could never buy another new game in my life and still be happy" sentiment I'm seeing, as someone developing a game. I don't think y'all understand that if you don't buy games you don't support people who make games.

I drank a little of an Arizona tea today that was Very Spoiled and immediately threw up. I popped my meds in my mouth, took a big gulp and swallowed before I even tasted it and THEN realized how bad my mouth tasted. I'm never buying Arizona again, that shit was chunky when I dumped it out.

Boycotts are not vote-with-your-wallet libertarianism. They are a surgical pressure tool employed with care and aim by organized movements to achieve very specific goals. ❌ Bad Example: Boycott all games because I'm afraid/confused ✅ Good Example: Boycott Xbox because they're a BDS priority target

"The game should be free if it's shorter than 2 hours" No, devs deserve to earn money for their work still. If a short time means free, then the movie industry is screwed. "There's no point in releasing a game if it's under 2 hours" There's plenty of reasons, and they can still be fun to play.

My dream streaming set up is actually kind of stupid? It's like... A dual PC set up but with my steam deck as one of the PCs. I'm close to being able to do it, I just need a few more things and then I can give my set up a little more breathing space, you know?

Everything going on in gaming sucks. However, it's nice to see the console wars basically evaporate overnight because gamers are finally realizing that all of these companies are soulless trash, and are trying to extract every dollar you have. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo aren't your friends.
