Absolutely. While an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, knowing that both are actively available and supported means that people can more comfortably play, and perhaps explore topics that they would be less comfortable doing so otherwise. There's an undeniable need for both at the table.

I truly believe that the ways we use safety tools as strictly preventative and the lack of a discussion based on trust as to when certain lines are veils (& vice versa) in a given game is setting folks up for communication failure in the future, but I also know you have to start somewhere.

Side-note: The GM / player terminology when describing the kind of asymmetric access and responsibility prevalent in most TTRPGs is terrible, because it leads to the implicit expectation that the host has "mastery" over the game, and can override it at will, but does not actually play it.

There is truly nothing wrong with disagreeing on matters of taste. In fact, peacefully disagreeing on matters of taste is a vital skill in the TTRPG space, one lots of people haven't cultivated.

Many men would rather engage in violent fantasy about what they WOULD do instead of doing what they easily COULD.

Do you guys remember when I was accepting donations for my sister? Well I'm happy to report that she moved in someone and they now have their own studio apartment! she seems really happy and i have you guys to thank for getting her there ❤️

some ppl think having theater training is a huge advantage in playing rpgs, or having like clever engineering knowledge or game design experience or etc but my secret theory is the most transferable skills by far are sales and public speaking
